Repair dull headlights with headlight polishing kit

The polishing set includes sanding pads of different grit sizes (1000, 2000 and 4000 grit), a hand block with Velcro for manual sanding, Headlight Polish 1 and Headlight Polish 2 with sealing component and three matching pads. The included Thermo Pad allows good control over the temperature development of the material during processing, as the color change of the pad serves as an indicator due to its thermochromic property. This headlight restoration kit allows you to restore multiple headlights. All parts and products can also be purchased separately.

How can I polish headlights myself?

1. Before you begin, clean the headlight and tape surrounding surfaces with masking tape.
2. Depending on the weathering, treat the surface of the headlight with sandpaper using a hand block or an eccentric polisher. In the case of heavily yellowed headlights, first use the 1,000 grit sandpaper (coarse grit). Repeat this step with the 2,000 (medium grit) and 4,000 (low grit) sandpaper until an evenly sanded surface is obtained. If the headlights are only slightly matte, the sanding can be skipped.
3. Remove sanding scratches with Headlight Polish 1 and the Heavy Cut Pad or Lambskin Pad.
4. Polish the surface to a high gloss result with Headlight Polish 2 and the Thermo Pad.

Both sanding and polishing can be processed manually with the applicator provided. However, we recommend polishing with a rotary polisher at medium speed with medium pressure. This facilitates the process and produces a sublime result.
