The Rag Company Ultra Clay Towel car change cloth
The Ultra Clay Towel from The Rag Company is a car clay towel for cleaning stubborn dirt on car paint. It is an indispensable step while decontaminating your car. The clay cloth provides a clean and super smooth surface. The clay product has a size of 30 x 30 cm and can be folded if desired during use.
When do you use a car change cloth?
Cleaning car paint with a car clay cloth is recommended when your car paint feels rough. You can test this by rubbing the paint with the palm of your hand. This stubborn dirt cannot be removed with a normal wash, so it's high time for a clay decontamination! Also when you want to apply a protective product such as a wax or sealant, it is recommended to clay the car paint first. This way the wax adheres much better to the surface and lasts much longer. Removing stubborn contaminations also increases the shine and depth of the paint. In addition, it is also an indispensable step in preparation for polishing the paintwork.
Car claying with clay cloth
- First, wash the car thoroughly using the two bucket method
- Then spray a clay lubricant such as CARPRO Immolube or Koch Chemie Clay Spray on a small area, for example
- Gently rub the surface with the clay cloth until the contaminants are removed and the surface is completely smooth
- Wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth to wipe off excess product
- Continue in sections until the entire car is clayed
Caution: when using for the first time, use the car clay cloth on glass for 30 seconds first. Always inspect the clay cloth before use to make sure the surface is completely clean. If the cloth should be soiled, simply rinse it with water.
Car clay towel storage
- Do not immerse in liquid
- Do not squeeze or wring out the cloth
- Do not store lying down with the clay surface down
- Do not store wet in airtight containers
Alternatives to a clay cloth are a clay bar, clay sponge, clay pad or clay glove.
