Description
Car paint clay with a clay sponge
An alternative to the clay pad is a clay sponge or clay sponge. With these you remove dirt and contaminations and the paintwork feels super smooth again. All kinds of stubborn dirt can adhere to the paintwork of your car. Air pollution, tree sap, tar,... leave an invisible "film" on your car to the naked eye that cannot be removed with an ordinary car wash.
The clay sponge lasts up to 2-3 times longer than traditional clay products such as a clay bar. Moreover, it does not stick. If you should drop the sponge you can simply rinse it off. A clay bar you would have to throw away immediately.
Can be used on car paint, mirrors, windows, bumpers,...
How can I clay a car with a clay sponge?
- Wash the vehicle thoroughly.
- First, use the clay sponge on glass for 60 seconds to remove the protective layer and soften the polymer.
- Then mist enough clay liquid onto the surface (e.g. CARPRO Immolube or Koch Chemie Clay Spray).
- Then rub the sponge over the surface with light pressure.
- Work in small areas of about 30 x 30 cm.
- Finally, wipe away residue with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or wash/rinse the car a second time.
Caution
- Do not put in washing machine or dryer.
- After use, rinse with water and allow to dry.
- Sufficient clay liquid is crucial for this application. Water alone is NOT a suitable lubricant.
- The Clay Sponge is not resistant to solvents.
- Use only on clean and cooled paint, not in direct sunlight.
- If necessary, use in an inconspicuous area first in case of unexpected adverse effects.
