Koch Chemie Reinigungsknete Rot removes even the most stubborn deposits such as tree resin and insects, fly rust, industrial dust, paint mist, tar, lime stains, etc. from smooth surfaces such as highly weathered, dirty paint and glass. Ideal for intensive cleaning prior to the polishing process. It is also an excellent cleaner to make windows super clean before changing wipers. The red clay bar is not recommended for use on new paintwork. Because of the coarseness of the clay bar, in most cases so-called "marring" occurs, making a later polishing process necessary.
Car claying with Koch Chemie Clay Bar
If you want to prepare the car for detailing (polishing and coating), it is important to first provide the car with a chemical decontamination with Reactive Rust Remover and Teerwäsche A. After the chemical decontamination, you can proceed to the mechanical decontamination, namely claying the car.
How do I use the Koch Chemie Clay Bar Rkr?
- Wash the car thoroughly with Car Shampoo or Gentle Snow Foam.
- If necessary, provide chemical cleaning first with Reactive Rust Remover and Teerwäsche A.
- Form a palm-sized slice of the cleansing clay (about 1/4 of the clay bar).
- Use Clay Spray as a lubricant for treating on the surface.
- Move the clay bar across the surface without pressure until it is smooth and clean.
- Knead in dirt on the cleaning clay until the surface is clean again.
- The cleaning clay can be used until it is completely penetrated by dirt particles.
- To prevent drying out, dampen the cleansing clay after use and store in the box.
- Then polish the cleaned paint with a fine polishing compound such as Micro Cut (heavier polishing compound if more paint correction is required).
