Koch Chemie Ceramic Body Cb0.01 is a ceramic coating and is used on painted body surfaces to provide long-term protection. The very thin protective layer is permanently bonded to the surface by a chemical reaction. Ceramic Body Cb0.01 creates a very good beading behavior (lotus effect). Thanks to its easy-care properties, the treated surface can also be cleaned gently and easily by hand.
Even after using acidic and alkaline cleaning agents, the protective coating is retained. The cured ceramic coating protects the paint much longer against environmental influences such as oxidation, salt, acids and insects. The Ceramic Body Cb0.01 thus makes an important contribution to maintaining or increasing the value of the vehicle.

The Ceramic Coating from Koch Chemie can be used on painted exterior surfaces of cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, mobile homes, caravans, boats, and so on. Thanks to the practical application sponges, the paint protection is particularly easy to apply and provides the paint with long-term protection against many external influences. Depending on use, the service life is up to 36 months. Ceramic Body Cb0.01 can be installed in 2 coats, with a drying time of approx. 30 minutes after the first coat. How do I use Koch Chemie Ceramic Coating?
- Before polishing and sealing, thoroughly pre-clean or wash the vehicle with alkaline (e.g. diluted with Green Star 1:10, do not use sealing shampoos). In case of coarse dirt such as tree resin, rust film, tar, etc., pre-treat with Reinigungsknete blau, Teerwäsche A, Reactive Rust Remover or similar cleaning agents.
- Depending on the condition, heavily to moderately weathered paintwork is prepared by machine with the coarse Heavy Cut polish or the fine Fine Cut polish. For exact processing, please refer to the Heavy Cut and Fine Cut product information.
- Lightly weathered paintwork and removal of holograms after polishing with Heavy Cut or Fine Cut is done mechanically with an eccentric polisher and Micro Cut high-gloss polish. Please refer to the Micro Cut product information.
- Remove polish residue completely with microfiber cloth.
- Gently wipe all surfaces with a clean microfiber cloth soaked in Silicone & Wax Remover or Panel Preparation Spray and wipe again with another new microfiber cloth. This is the only way to completely remove surfactants, drying aids, the oils in polishes and so on and avoid adhesion problems with the Ceramic Body Cb0.01. Note: For sensitive uni or single coat automotive paints, Silicon- & Wachsentferner should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:4, preferably distilled water, to avoid matting.
- The paint should now have a scratch-free and hologram-free surface in good lighting. After this step, do not touch the paint with the palms/fingers (risk of adhesion problems, use nitrile gloves). The surface is now perfectly prepared for Ceramic Body Cb0.01.
- Moisten the included Application Sponge with Ceramic Body Cb0.01 and quickly spread it over the car paint, working component by component. Alternatively, you can use a microfiber coating applicator. After applying two cross coats, a thin, closed film of liquid should be visible. Let the product evaporate and then polish with an appropriate microfiber cloth The evaporation time depends on temperature and humidity*. The higher the temperature/humidity, the shorter the evaporation time. First remove excess material and then polish with the clean side of the cloth in circular motions without applying pressure. Check the result for no haze under suitable lighting.
*Application example summer in, for example, Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany:
- 20 °C/68 °F Humidity 43%.
- Evaporation time 6 minutes
- Consumption depending on vehicle size approx. 15-30 ml
Caution
Before use, read the hazard warnings on the container or outer packaging and take appropriate protective measures. Ceramic Body Cb0.01 reacts with humidity. This may cause crystals to form on the rim when the bottle is open. If these crystals get on the microfiber cloth, they will scratch the surface to be coated. Therefore, the crystals should be wiped off with a cloth before the product is dripped onto the microfiber cloth. For double coats, a drying time of about 30 minutes after the first coat should be maintained, depending on temperature and humidity. Only after at least 24 hours is the coating weatherproof. Carry out the first car wash at the earliest after nine days, as the sealant will not be fully cured until then. At low outdoor temperatures (below 15° C/59° F), the curing time increases. Nevertheless, bird droppings and insect debris should be carefully removed as soon as possible during the first nine days. Application of Spray Sealant S0. 02 or Handwax W0.01 is recommended after 24 hours to protect the ceramic sealant that has not yet fully cured. Cleaning agents with pH values below 3 or above 12 should be avoided. An opened bottle has a maximum shelf life of 6 months. Check the bottle for crystallization before use. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the high-gloss ceramic surface as long as possible. Use Green Star (dilution 1:10) for alkaline cleaning. Use Gentle Snow Foam for neutral washes. To remove mineral dirt, deep cleaning with Reactivation Shampoo is recommended. Always read the accompanying documentation first.
